Heather and I started off to the Med coast. First was Akko (Acre)- a great little town that lived within these very ancient ruins and walls. Not too touristy at all. First, the amazing market (souk).

-You can just imagine them racing to run off to the coast in these. This one is huge. Apparently, these Templers Tunnels were just found in 1994 when a local woman complained about a blocked sewer.

-The El Jazzar mosque - jazzar means "butcher." Not a nice guy was Ahmed Pasha al-Jazzer, but he shaped the city into what it is today.
