Awausee Trail

And finally, the one that beat them all (and beat us up a little, too), the Awausee Trail. It goes 650 feet up to the top of the hill to overlook the Agawa Valley, crosses several ravines, goes along the old loggers' trail AND is said to be "strenuous" or "difficult." It said to give 4-6 hours to complete it. Although we almost 'died' in the first part, we proudly made it in under 3, which we thought was amazing! Thanks to Dennis who told us we HAD to do it.

Threw out my shoes after this trip! That goes to show you the "Summer of Fitness" was just that...

-The sunrise in the morning. Pretty hazy this day.

-The trek upward and onward.

-The first overlook toward the islands and Lake Superior.

-Stephanie and I resting atop the 'mountain.'

-The Agawa Valley. All worth it!

Next trip - Canada, Almanzo Wilder's birthplace, Cape Cod and more! Cape Cod the longest with Chris, Sherry and the kids!
