Frederick and Odds and Ends

-Flying from DC to NYC to Boston...here's NYC.

-And Manhattan.

-And boats, freighters and the Statue of Liberty. It's really tiny.

-Boston.

-I had never been to Frederick Douglass' house and really know just a little about him.

-This is just two miles from Capitol Hill. He didn't have much about his slavery, but the chains on his curtains was one.

-Man...he's got great hair! This is taking a picture of his picture in a mirror, so a bit fuzzy, but there was no other way.

-His second wife knew they were going to turn this into a museum, so about 90% is original. Even the glasses!

-Blue willow and green transferware!

-They thought the star symbolized his travels to freedom as well.

-This is the Growlery, my favorite part. It's a little place he would go to to think alone. Maybe some throw back to slave cabins.

-Me and the man. He was tall, too - 6'5"! Man, people were shorter back then...

-Drat those two for getting me hooked on trivia at pubs.

-These were all over and hilarious...first the Democrats.

-Then the Republicans. Can you imagine what TR is saying to Nixon?
