New Brunswick

-We headed through New Brunswick to get to PEI and then headed back to go through Maine. Many signs, no moose :(
-The Bay of Fundy was quickly going to low tide. Little rivers formed as it ebbed.

-Hopewell Rocks is only accessible for about 5 hours to walk on at low tide.

-All these rocks are covered about a third of the way up by the bay at high tide.
-You can kayak up to the rocks at high tide. And you have to watch so you don't go wandering and get stuck for hours at high tide!
-Mom by the bay.
-The seaweed the rocks holds water in bladders for the low tide times. Surprisingly, not slimy at all.

-Me by the sea cave.

-The shore coverd with seaweed.
-With the warm fall came roses again.
-Then we headed to Fundy National Park.
-A covered bridge along the way.
-One of the inlet that was actually used for docking, when at high tide.

-A bridge in the park.
-Another great vista.
-They did get snow in the higher regions! No moose.
-We stayed at St. Andrews by the Sea for the night. Got up to see a great sunrise.

-One of the blockhouses the town built during the War of 1812 for protection.
-The British and Americans also met here, St. Croix Island, as a neutral land during the war. However, the French tried to settle here with native people as early as 1604 (yep, earlier than Jamestown, Quebec City and Plymouth). Samuel de Champlain stayed the winter there before they moved on to Nova Scotia the next year.
