PEI

It's hard to get a picture of the new Confederation Bridge, but here's Anne greeting us as we get to the island.

-Heading on the North Shore, we found L.M. Montgomery's House after she was married.
-There are three major driving tours, north cape...

...points east....

...and blue heron.

-Northern tip of PEI.

-Mom on the red cliffs.

-The winds begat windmachines.

-And, of course, a lighthouse at the tip.

-Tignish St. Simon's and St. Jude's. It has one of the oldest pipe organs in North America with 1,118 pipes!

-A bit of scenery over...

...a wooden bridge.

-Saw a yarn ball with knitting needles, so we stopped. A little place that had the old factory below...
...and yarn above!
-This was actually one of my favorite places. They were just finishing up the potato harvest and trucks broughts tons of them in. We drove past it and it smelled like cooked potatoes. Then every now and then a big puff of steam came out of the towers.

-I didn't get the potato crops, but got the carrot crop. McCain and Humpty Dumpty have factories on the island.

-The guy where we were staying told us about a small point where we could go.

-Which led us to this beach and red soil and rocks.

-And views like this.

-Mom atop the cliff.

-Anne's Lake of Shining Waters.

-Mom on the way to Cavendish.

-Anne of Green Gables is 100 years old this year!

-LM's grave.

-The Haunted Wood.

-Green Gables.

-Kind of different, it's set up like the book (instead of the family home) and this is Anne's room.

-A blue heron at Prince Edward Island National Park.

-The lighthouse at PEI NP.

-A few beach things mom put together.

-The coast.

-Sneaking in...hmmm...

-But you got to see this!

-And we saw no moose, but we did see a red fox!
